ABOUT HOME KITCHEN CULTURE
HKC was started by Chef Lea Marie Dennis as a meal delivery service bringing great food from high-quality ingredients to doorsteps all around San Diego County. The reputation of Lea's distinct style of cooking grew and led to opportunities to create the culinary experience for private events and weddings. In 2015, as demand for Lea's event design and production grew, Home Kitchen Culture transitioned to only catering.
Home Kitchen Culture works with each client to create boutique, one of a kind catering experiences. Chef Lea Marie Dennis designs contemporary, fresh menus inspired by the context of the event and in accordance with the region and season. We can serve convenient, smart lunches in eco-conscious packaging for your corporate meeting, and design and execute events with lush table presentations of appetizers, petite hors d'oeuvres, and unforgettable plates. We believe in a rustic approach to food, and a reverence for beauty, color, taste, and quality ingredients, and in taking every detail into account to elevate a meal or event to magical...Clients include the San Diego Symphony, the La Jolla Music Society, the San Diego Architectural Foundation and their annual Orchids & Onions Award Presentation, the Mexican Consulate in San Diego, Woodbury School of Architecture, Planned Parenthood's Action Fund, Bergquist Studios, Colkitt & Co. Architects, UPS, and many of San Diego's most beautiful private residences.
RESPONSIBILITY TO HEALTH AND LAND
HKC sources ingredients from local, sustainable, and, as often as possible, organic farms. Because of their farming methods, these farms are producing the most flavorful and nutritious vegetables in the San Diego area. I know many of these farmers by name and am grateful to them for their dedication to growing real food from properly cultivated soil.
